Five restaurants below have an official restaurant or tourism listing; two cutlet places are only current directory leads; three Namdaemun names come from a 2023 Seoul city article and need same-day confirmation.

Two cutlet leads need one more check
Wonjo Namsan Wang Donkatsu has a VISITKOREA listing, while Dami Donkatsu is represented here only by a current dining-directory page. Treat both as leads until a same-day map result or direct call confirms the exact branch, hours and address. The generated cutlet image below shows a food category, not either restaurant’s plate.
Three Namdaemun names are historical menu leads
The 2023 Seoul city article names Namdaemun Son Kalguksu Naengmyeon, Jungang Galchi Sikdang and Namdaemun Myeongmul Hotteok. This article does not promote them to current verified venues. Use the names to decide whether you want noodle alley, braised hairtail or a snack, then verify the actual stall on the market map and at the entrance that day. Market vendors do not share one schedule or price board.
What completed dining accounts add
A completed Myeongdong Kyoja visit records arriving before the main lunch queue, but one visit cannot promise a wait time. A completed Myeongdong food walk shows that snack stops and a full meal compete for appetite, so the route works better when one is chosen as the anchor. A completed Namdaemun route account records the market as a separate walking block rather than an extension of every Myeongdong meal. Together they support one main meal plus one optional snack.

Allow 20 minutes from Myeongdong Station to a restaurant and for branch finding, 75 minutes for a seated meal, 25 minutes to walk toward Namdaemun, 45 minutes for one market lane and 15 minutes of queue buffer: three hours total. Hadongkwan and Goryeo Samgyetang sit in different directions, so do not use this south-west route calculation for them; open a current map and rebuild the sequence.
Choose by menu: noodles and dumplings, gomtang, samgyetang, cold noodles or bunsik. If the current listing, map and storefront disagree, use the storefront and pick the next verified option.
